My films are all holiday films and that's all I ever need or want in the way of transitions. I only ever use 2 transitions - the fade to black one and the dissolve one. I'm only really missing one thing from Pinnacle Studio - and that is the ability to add a really simple transition that fades to black, and then fades back up from black - while at the same time fading the sound out and then fading it back in. I've only just started using Power Director but I'm very impressed so far.
